Overview

Tanzania occupies a special place in the hearts of old and new Africa hands.

Kapok Africa adventures, whether private Custom or tailor made Classic Safaris, almost invariably pay their respects to Tanzania’s Serengeti, the southern half of the Serengeti-Maasai Mara ecosystem, the undisputed capital of the world’s animal kingdom. The Serengeti is amazing in its enormity, it’s almost infinite skies and long, golden reaches, its million-year quiet. It enraptures with moments of grace; we may well see, And then there’s the fabulous, animal-thronged Lost World of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most magical places, where we especially but hardly uniquely appreciate something, you are struck by the feeling of having lived for a time up in the air.

Itinerary

You will drive to the Lake Manyara National Park. This small park is a paradise for serious and amateur bird-lovers as this small park is home to over 400 species of birds, including flamingos, pelicans, storks and cormorants. Many mammals, such as bushbucks, waterbucks, wildebeests, zebras, baboons, monkeys, lions and leopards can be seen roaming the forest and the acacia-dotted plains of the park. You will have an unhindered view of the surroundings as the safari vehicle’s roof can open up to allow you the best angle for photography.dinner and overnight at panorama campsite/fanaka campsite

Wake up early morning for breakfast then at 0700hours drive to Ngoro Ngoro Crater where you will descend into the Crater floor (19.2 km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq. km) for game drives. All the Big five Rhino, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo and Elephant live in this wonderful caldera, and many more mammals. Birds includes flamingos on the Soda Lake, Geese, Storks, Vultures and more. Break for lunch at Ngoitoktok spring Picnic site. Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World’. A massive extinct volcano, its towering tree lined walls drop thousands of feet to a “Noah’s Ark” of animals on the verdant floor below. This breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands, fresh springs and the large soda lake. Nowhere else can such diversity in wildlife be experienced in such a short period of time.

We pick you from the hotel in arusha and drive to the engikaret masai village located 50 kilometers from Arusha Town heading towards Longido and Namanga, which is on the boarder of Tanzania and Kenya. The village is vast with unforgiving terrain full of thorny pines trees and bush and situated at the base of Mt. Meru. Here you will be welcomed by the masai song performed by masai worrirs and women, and there after get the masai history from the elders and then goat slaughtering by the masai warriors and drinking of the raw blood from the goat by masai warriors and then bbq, and later in the afternoon drive back to arusha.
