Day 2: DAVID SHELDRICK WILDLIFE TRUST TOUR TO GIRAFFE CENTER TOUR TO LIMURU TEA PLANTATION.

At 10:00 am Nairobi time, we will drive off to the Sheldrick wildlife Trust. The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is the first, formative step in an orphan’s journey back to the wild. It is the place where baby elephants who have lost everything find family and a future once more.

We will visit this place to see & feed the orphaned elephants. Later we will drive off to Giraffe center for giraffe feeding and kissing. The Giraffe Centre is located next to Giraffe Manor and runs the breeding programme of the endangered Rothschild's giraffe

After our full day tour, we will end our day at the Limuru tea plantation, visiting one of the finest brew plantations. 65% of the world’s tea leaves come from Kenya, and it’s in this place that you see how its picked, brewed and served a hot cup of Kenyan Pure Tea at an elevation of 7,000ft above sea level. The region enjoys the perfect climate and rainfall level that are needed for all year round tea cultivation, a factor that greatly contributes to Kenya’s position as the third largest tea producer in the world. Another interesting factor about this place is how friendly the local community are and the sudden weather variation from Nairobi city. Later in the evening we will drive back to hotel in Nairobi.

Day 3. NGORONGORO CRATER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.

Ngorongoro Crater is like a forgotten world, Concealed by the steep volcanic walls is a pristine wilderness including sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland and glistening lakes and swamps.

After breakfast, we depart to Ngorongoro crater. Arriving at the edge of the Crater our eyes are welcomed by the breath taking views of the intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa.

It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve which is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. The drive down the into the Crater is an adventure in itself and when you reach the Crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and more than 500 bird species.

The Crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago.The Crater provides you with the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino, which with luck can be spotted in the open grasslands.

After picnic lunch at Ngorongoro we ascend up the edges of the crater and then an en-route game drive to Serengeti National Park.

Day 4. SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO KARATU

The Serengeti is truly spectacular; it is famous for its vast open grasslands which allow for excellent sightings of wildlife. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest National Park and it is also one of the oldest ecosystems on earth.

After picnic lunch we head out for an en-route game drive through the endless plains of Serengeti heading to Karatu where we will arrive in time for dinner.

Its climate and vegetation have remained largely untouched for millions of years. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. Vast numbers of wildebeest; accompanied by large numbers of zebra and antelope move in an annual pattern, constantly seeking fresh grazing. The precise timing of the Migration is entirely dependent upon the rainfall patterns each year.

Day 5. TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA

This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands and lush groundwater forest.

After breakfast, we depart to Ngorongoro crater. Arriving at tAfter breakfast we depart to our final destination “JomoTarangire National Park”. The Park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. he edge of the Crater our eyes are welcomed by the breath taking views of the intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa.

There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet! After an extensive game drive, we head back to Arusha which marks the end of our adventure.

The Park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards.
